What It Is
SelfGrowthVideos.com is a hand-curated video library covering the best of personal development, mental toughness, mindset, spirituality, fitness, relationships, and more. Online continuously since 2012. Every video on the site has been watched and approved before it goes in.
This is the longest-running BWS property and the deepest content archive in the portfolio.
The Numbers
- 850+ videos organized across 8 buckets and 181 topical categories
- 20+ teacher profile pages — Goggins, Joe Dispenza, Eckhart Tolle, Andrew Huberman, Wayne Dyer, Jordan Peterson, Wim Hof, and more
- 3 profile template variants — Magazine (editorial), Classic (reading-zone), Gallery (video-first with topic filters)
- Online since 2012 — predates the modern personal development creator economy
- Free, ad-free, algorithm-free — no upsells, no membership, no recommendation engine deciding what you see
How It’s Built
Originally WordPress, migrated to Hugo in 2025 for speed, security, and editorial control. Hugo Pipes CSS bundle, design tokens, custom partial templates for creator pages. Content lives as markdown files in a private GitHub repo, deploys automatically to Netlify on every commit.
The Universal Profile system on SGV — three variants (Magazine, Classic, Gallery) selected via frontmatter — is now packaged as a reusable BWS skill and is being deployed across other content properties. Six teachers are live on v2 already (Goggins, Rich Roll, Wayne Dyer, Eckhart Tolle, Joe Dispenza, Andrew Huberman). The rest of the catalog is being upgraded one teacher at a time.

Why It Exists
The internet decided that the way to find good ideas was to feed them through an attention-maximizing algorithm trained on engagement metrics. SGV is the long-form rebuttal: a human-curated library where someone with judgment has watched the videos, decided which ones are worth your time, and organized them so you can find what you need.
It’s not big. It doesn’t try to be. It’s been quietly running for fourteen years and has helped a lot of people in a lot of small ways — which is more than most internet properties can say.
